Joan Rivers — GOES OFF on Epic Israel/Palestine Rant | TMZ

  1. She speaks of this as though the lives of those people are less than hers. She is a bitter old woman that knows very little about true human suffering.

    • +Shaharx1x1 The UN started it all in 1944 when they moved desperate people who needed a homeland into land al ready occupied without straightening out the intricacies involved Ironically ,.Israelis who wish to wipe Palestinians from the face of the earth are promoting the same kind of genocide the Jewish people experienced and on a group of people who , though religiously different genetically have a closer lineage from the middle eastern Jews people living there in biblical times.

  2. actually Israel has started it. They were looking for three Israelis, therefore they started the bombing. Even Hamas said that they didn’t kidnap. So, they are bombing CHILDREN who has nothing to do with Hamas and bombing HOSPITALS. everybody knows that Israel is a war criminal, and isn’t able to deal with Hamas. Instead, it deals with children!

    Long Live Palestine.

(I am not antisemitic, I am against war criminal Israel and it’s supporters. And this woman, and her plastic face disgusts me.)

    • It is cool here, and most people are relaxed. But sometimes motorists get nervous, since all you can do is to stop the car, park, and run toward a wall or a roof for some minimal shelter. But if I am inside, usually I go into the room for a few minutes until the danger passes, and the explosions outside have stopped. The sirens are what bother me, since they hurt my ears. Once I saw a rocket intercepted mid air and it exploded. It was like fireworks, which also explode high above us. But falling pieces of debris can cause harm.

    • +PALGURLX gal “Oh,I can’t refute someone.Oh,well, better just make up Lies and insult him/her to make myself feel better.”GTFO.

    • For the record in Islam it’s not right to kill any civilians, Islam in my eyes is perfect but Muslims are not. Putting aside their faith, if you kill a mans family, take away his home, take away his land and his country and rename it something else and also put a curfew on him, do you think he’s going to throw rose pettles at you?
Any human being going through this kind of punishment/torture both mentally and physically will break down and do crazy things.

    • She surprisingly knows more than most people, and we should really learn to respect that

  3. Her attitude is absolutely disgusting. The fact that she doesn’t care about innocent children dying is Palestine is horrid. I have no respect for her whatsoever.

  4. Joan Rivers didn’t care about the deaths of innocent people and a few weeks later after she said those comments she’s the one that ended up dead herself… Karma is truly no joke.

  5.  Hamas is an Israeli invention and acts as a part of the controlled opposition. It’s an illusion designed to throw off the scent of the true intent of genocide. Gaza is prime beachfront real estate with untapped gas reserves just offshore.

It’s a land grab with an inconvenient population. There’s no way on this earth is it justified!

    • +Chloe Blue Chloe, claims of genocide in Gaza are ludicrous. As sad as the Palestinian situation in Gaza is, it’s not even close to being a genocide. I suggest you search Google for genocide examples to get a grasp of the proportions of killing in real genocide. Hamas is an Israeli invention? You read that in the same websites which claim that JFK was killed by the CIA, and that NASA faked the moon landing? Now I’m not sure if you’re delusional, or know the real deal but want to incite hate toward Israel.I wont even try to address this further as your claims are borderline insane.

    • +Tamir Maoz   ——- Just because these brutal killings of innocent humans haven’t happened all at once, does not take away from the *intentional*, resource and land motivated, slow-genocide that this truly is, committed by those with complete disregard for human lives, since apparently they feel their race or culture is far superior and considers others outside their race *sub-humans* and tragically treats them as such. (or else, how the hell do they sleep at night committing all this evil and with so much blood is on their hands?)

This is what the WORLD is now seeing with our own eyes,  Hundreds of thousands of protesters were in the streets like never before.

Is it all just a big accident that the biased mainstream media was caught attempting to downplay the ACTUAL numbers of people who were in support of Palestinians?
They would say:  “Over 20,000 protested.”   When in actuality, it would be 150,000+…..the worldwide photos are online for the world to see.  The bell cannot be un-rung.

I have no idea how long this evil will continue, but I’m grateful beyond belief that there is finally an uprising against the powers that be in Israel.  Again, I do not feel the only super-power that is atrocious and needs to be stopped is the Israeli govt.
      Just certainly on the list.

Lastly, I realize that you and I are in strong disagreement and that we feel very differently about these things, but I want you to know that I still respect your outlook and your feelings and wish nothing but PEACE for you, wherever you live and whoever you are,  Genuinely.

        — Tell me your thoughts on this:

According to Robert Dreyfuss, author of “Devil’s Game: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam”:
“And beginning in 1967 through the late 1980s, Israel helped the Muslim Brotherhood establish itself in the occupied territories.  It assisted Ahmed Yassin, the leader of the Brotherhood, in creating Hamas, betting that its Islamist character would weaken the PLO.”

According to Charles Freeman, former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, “Israel started Hamas. It was a project of Shin Bet [Isreali domestic intelligence agency], which had a feeling that they could use it to hem in the PLO.”
One aspect of that strategy was the creation of the Village Leagues, over which Yassin and the Brotherhood exercised much influence.  Israel trained about 200 members of the Leagues and recruited many paid informers.

New York Times Reporter David Shipler cites the Israeli military governor of Gaza as boasting that Israel expressly financed the fundamentalists against the PLO:
“Politically speaking, Islamic fundamentalists were sometimes regarded as useful to Israel, because they had conflicts with the secular supporters of the PLO.

Violence between the two groups erupted occasionally on West Bank university campuses. Israeli military governor of the Gaza Strip, Brigadier General Yitzhak Segev, once told me how he had financed the Islamic movement as a counterweight to the PLO and the Communists.  ‘The Israeli Government gave me a budget and the military government gives to the mosques,’ he said.”

As Dreyfuss notes, “during the 1980s, the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza and the West Bank did not support resistance to the Israeli occupation.  Most of its energy went to fighting the PLO, especially its more left-wing factions, on university campuses.”

After the Palestinian uprising of 1987, the PLO accused Hamas and Yassin of acting “with the direct support of reactionary Arab regimes… in collusion with the Israeli occupation.”

Yasser Arafat complained to an Italian newspaper: “Hamas is a creation of Israel, which at the time of Prime Minister Shamir, gave them money and more than 700 institutions, among them schools, universities and mosques.”
Arafat also maintained that Israeli prime minister Rabin admitted to him in the presence of Hosni Mubarak that Israel had supported Hamas.

Essentially, as analyst Ray Hannania pointed out, in “Sharon’s Terror Child”, published in Counterpunch, “undermining the peace process has always been the real target of Hamas and has played into the political ambitions of Likud.

Every time Israeli and Palestinian negotiators appeared ready to take a major step forward achieving peace, an act of Hamas terrorism has scuttled the peace process and pushed the two sides apart.”

In “Hamas and the Transformation of Political Islam in Palestine”, for Current History, Sara Roy wrote:
“Some analysts maintain that while Hamas leaders are being targeted, Israel is simultaneously pursuing its old strategy of promoting Hamas over the secular nationalist factions as a way of ensuring the ultimate demise of the [Palestinian Authority], and as an effort to extinguish Palestinian nationalism once and for all.”

      CONCLUSION
The Muslim Brotherhood, and its many manifestations like Hamas, Al Qaeda and bin Laden, serve as an ever-present and manufactured “terrorist” threat, used constantly as a pretext to justify repressive measures at home and expanded imperialistic objectives abroad.

Because, despite all the rhetoric about the threat of “political Islam”, unbeknownst to the general public, the manipulation of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the world is still a mainstay of American foreign policy.

    • +Chloe Blue I’ll try to respond to your comments one by one, although I have to keep it short (as I’m at work). I will give you my perspective of things, which I think is pretty objective (as objective as it could be for someone who’s living inside this conflict).
      1. Israel has never started a campaign against Hamas without any long lasting provocation (suicide bombers, rocket attacks, etc).
      2. Hamas is an elected government, so by definition it does represent the majority of Palestinians.
      3. Unfortunate incidents which you call “acts of evil and slow genocide” happen when the IDF is trying to protect its soldiers. The IDF won’t risk/sacrifice its soldiers when:
3.1. The residents of that area were given ample warnings to leave the intended conflict area.
3.2. The building in the area are in high chances to be booby trapped.
3.3. Those buildings are most likely containing weapons (i.e. the UN school).
      4. There was never any intention by the IDF to hurt innocent people on purpose. I will never accept such a claim from anyone. The target for any attack is ALWAYS a military one. Unfortunately bystanders do get hurt. In any situation where someone has felt that the trigger finger was too easy to pull it, those stories were always publicized by the media, which has led to investigations. That’s what the Israeli public expect.
      5. How does your “genocide” claims coincide with Israeli hospitals treating Palestinian injuries? Are the hospitals a part of the “well oiled lie machine”? Seriously???
      6. I won’t say that Israel’s actions are fully just. There are actions which I don’t agree with, like the continuation of the building in the settlements. I do think that’s counter-peace.
      7. I respect your opinions, but the things you’re saying make me feel like you have an agenda to bash Israel, and you prefer not to be confused by the facts. It leads your ideas to a non logical place.

      Peace

    • +Chloe Blue So Israel has helped the Hamas build up initially in an attempt to find the biggest threat of that time, which was the PLO.
      1. Does that mean that it’s still doing so?
      2. Does that mean that it’s negotiating and synchronizing its actions in the background just to prevent the peace?
      3. Does that mean that cause of all the Israelis which have died at the hands of Hamas was actually directly agreed on by Israel?

Can’t you recognize this as another failed policy very similar to what the US has done with the Taliban vs Russians?
This is clearly a back fired policy.
Unless you also believe that the US is still funding the Taliban and supplying them with weapons.

  6. She was clearly an old war-monger at heart. The Palestinians are obviously still pissed that Jews got such a lavish present after WW2 forcing many of them out of their homes. It’s a very complicated problem steeped with history and religion. Joan was way out of her depth.

    • +Morton Rolandsen Sorry but with all due respect, you’re ignorant…
First of all, India has also been through the trauma of “partitioning” after British Empire made a mess, and created so much hostility between Muslims and Hindus in “HIND”. (Which is modern day India+Pakistan+9Bangladesh+small part of Burma)

And you keep forgetting that the “Israelis” are mostly Eastern European white Jews with no ties to the Middle East other than the fact that they mostly have big noses and they now speak Hebrew…

You do realize even the early Israeli settlers that moved to “Israel” after Europe (this includes Russia) committed crime after crime after crime towards the Jews. Their own leaders admit that every “Israeli” town used to be Palestinian. As a matter fact most Palestinians can trace their lineage for 10+ generations, while “israelis” admit that they are mostly from eastern europe.

As usual Britain with it’s empire and its garbage promised a part of land which wasn’t even their’s to begin with. I mean wtf, imagine I occupy your house and say I promise this part to your neighbour. And you expect Hamas/PLO/Fatah to simply stand down and show no resistance?! As if you would back down when faced with such an unfair proposal.

The tripartition was a total joke, and both sides rejected it. Why would Palestinians need to compromise on anything, when the settlers even REFUSE to aknowledge that

      1. They aren’t from the region to begin with.
      2. They believe in “divine right” to be there because of a random bs 2000 year old prophecy in the Bible, so basically claiming God is an estate agent?!
      3. Imagine if Britain wasn’t in charge of that part of the world, we would see an entirely different scenario… Thje jews would have stayed put where they belong, in Eastern Europe mainly and Bavaria. Actually come to think of it, they should take a piece of territory in bavaria and declare statehood there… Voila problem solved, the true agressor (germany) would have paid for its crimes, not some people from a region that had nothing to do with Nazi germany. (And before you even think of linking me articles of the so called Mufti of Jerusalem and Hitler collaborating, disprove that the Palestinians had ANY hand in atrocities towards the Jews and European countries under occupation of Nazi Germany have inflicted the true pain towards European jews…)

I agree with no hassle; she has no idea of this sensitive complicated issue.

    • Actually, if may I. There was a jewish presence even before both world wars! It is between world war one and world war two when the first waves of Jews coming to the holy land to fulfill their life goal. Sadly, they were heavily terrorized by arabs who didn’t want the jewish population to outweigh theirs, knowing that if they did the british mandate would’ve lets the Jewish people have a country. True, the lady was lacking some major facts in the story, but she had a lot of point, even if very blatant about it

  7. Days after she made this comment. She falls into a coma and dies 2 months later. Karma????

  8. Yet she said let the Palestines drop dead then Allāh the one divine lord took her from this world days later then she “Dropped Dead” ✋ #PointMade
