**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 615 is. We know that 100% of 615 is, well, just 615.**Step 2:**If 100% of 615 is 615, then we can get 1% of 615 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 615 / 100. This is equal to 6.15. Now we know that 1% is 6.15.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 615 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 6.15 times 1 = 6.15. That's all there is to it!
